The Caribbean island of Martinique, a jewel of the French West Indies

Located in the Lesser Antilles between Dominica and Saint Lucia, the Caribbean island of Martinique is both a French region and department. The official language is French, and the local Creole is also spoken. With its tropical climate, turquoise waters, and lush vegetation, Martinique is nicknamed “the island of flowers” because of its luxuriant flora. Martinique offers all the advantages of the Caribbean in a French-speaking environment.

Martinique is served by major airlines, departing from Paris but also from Montreal or Miami.

You’ll find everything you need in Trois-Ilets

Domaine d’Amara is a green oasis nestled in a peaceful residential area located between the town of Trois Ilets and Pointe du Bout, accessible in less than a 5 minutes drive.

Pointe du Bout is a tourist area with numerous shops and restaurants, as well as a casino. The golf course is a 5-minute drive away. The Pointe du Bout marina offers a variety of water sports: scuba diving, catamaran trips, and boat rentals. A sailing club is also nearby, just a 2-minute drive away, and offers a range of water sports (sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling, etc.).

The Village de la Poterie is located less than 10 minutes from Domaine d’Amara. A unique place, accessible via a red brick path — reminiscent of a laterite track — it sits on the edge of the mangrove (a natural area sheltering local flora and fauna). A pleasant and unusual place for a stroll in Martinique, the Pottery Village brings together artists and craftspeople (pottery, ceramics, jewelry, paintings, etc.), restaurants, and boutiques focused on well-being.

The international golf course of Trois-Ilets

The Trois-Ilets golf course is located just a 5-minute drive from Domaine d’Amara.

Designed by American architect Robert Trent Jones, the golf course spans 63 hectares of lush tropical vegetation. It offers 18 holes of varying difficulty, on a par-71 course along the coast. Its location in the bay of Fort-de-France protects it from the trade winds.

You can practice independently, both on the green and on the driving range. Want to perfect your swing? You can choose to work with a bilingual coach (English-French).
